What is a WordPress Designer?
A WordPress designer can design the structural layout of your website. The designer creates a mockup or wireframe of the website. Elements are formatted in a pleasing design to make the website appear cohesive with your brand. The designer considers elements such as fonts & typography, colors & contrasting colors, menu design, & so many other parts. A WordPress Designer can create the look and feel for your website. Designers use wireframes to layout the design of a website. A WordPress designer uses graphic design tools and skills to enhance the design and the visual presentation and look of a WordPress website.
A WordPress Developer can use HTML, CSS, JavaScript, & PHP to build the actual website. The developer can use responsive frameworks like Bootstrap to create a beautiful design. The developer is the person that actually codes the website and works out any bugs. Our developers work on the front-end part of the website to create a visually pleasing design. A WordPress developer will build a customized theme for your brand new website.
Back-end developers work in the areas (often related to server-side technologies) that add other functionality to the site. There is also some overlap between front and back-end development. A front-end developer working with WordPress may also do a bit of back-end development.
At Cliively, our designers are the developers who will work on your WordPress site. This reduces the time in the design and approval process.
Do you use pre-made WordPress themes? Can we reduce cost using a pre-made WordPress theme?
We do not work with other people’s WordPress themes. Unfortunately, the time it takes to understand the code structure of a pre-made theme will increase the development time and cost.
Can you deploy our WordPress theme to our Webhosting?
Yes, we can deploy your custom theme to your web hosting. However, WordPress must already be installed. If you need Cliively to deploy WordPress to your web hosting, then please let us know. WordPress deployment is an add-on to your custom quote and is outside of development and design.
Can you add custom functionality to WordPress?
We can provide some custom functionality for WordPress. However, custom functionality will add development time and increase the price of your design. Our WordPress experts understand the underlying code of WordPress and can ensure that the custom plugin does not interfere with other plugins.
Do you offer web hosting, a custom domain & SSL with the WordPress Theme?
A design for WordPress does not include hosting, a custom domain, and SSL. There are additional cost associated with setting up hosting, a domain, and SSL certificate for WordPress. But, if you have a target price range for hosting we can assist you with selecting a hosting company. Our choice is to host on Amazon Web Services EC2 Instances, which is a Virtual Private Server with dedicated resources for your website.
Are your themes Search Engine Optimized?
Out the box no. If you need your theme Search Engine Optimized (SEO), then we can most add it to your plan. We can work with your team to train them on SEO or you can add our monthly SEO plan to your quote.

If Pagespeed Optimization is not mentioned during the consultation, then it will not be included in your custom quote. Pagespeed Optimization is complex and requires more time for development. For the upfront cost, you get a Pagespeed optimized WordPress theme.
Can your team write the content for a WordPress site?
Content writing and landing page copywriting are services that Cliively offers to its customers. Content writing can be added to the custom quote. Our team will use keyword research to help create search engine optimized content. Content writing is an add-on service.
